About John P. Williamson

My name is John P. Williamson and I am running for the position of Fishers Fire District Commissioner this Fall.  I have been a resident of Victor for 3-years, residing in the neighboring town of Perinton 20 years prior.  Despite my brief time in Victor, I have immediately immersed myself in our town's public safety - trying to make a positive difference.  I plan to live in Victor for many years to come and am the only candidate whose youth and energy will help set a new standard for excellence.

My wife and I have raised two daughters and our prized canine Charlie.   Family first values have guided our parenting style.  As a family we spend many hours enjoying the outdoors, supporting each others goals, and believe in giving back to our community.   Our favorite family activity is indulging in the areas best ice-cream, frequently!

Professionally I have worked for the Keurig/Dr Pepper company for over 20 years, steadily advancing and  holding various management positions.  I manage a region that is responsible  for $30M in sales annually with a $3.5M marketing budget.  In my present role as a national executive, I am tasked with collaborating with large groups of people, while negotiating sales initiatives that generate positive outcomes for both my customers and Keurig/Dr Pepper - this is in harmony with getting things done at FFD.   My people skills and fiscal acumen fit nicely into complementing the FFD board.   As commissioner, I will continue to balance public safety and your tax dollars  responsibly as I have demonstrated.

Since July I have held the interim FFD Commissioner role and have had the pleasure of working with many outstanding people on our current board, firefighters, paramedics, and our Fishers residents.  I made a commitment to actively listen to all, engaged myself in the process, gathered all relevant facts, and have worked together toward positive solutions. The unanimous ratification of the 2022 budget is an example of how many voices working together can produce great results - reducing the tax rate by over 20%. There is no bigger responsibility for myself than helping our community with public safety within the Fishers Fire District.  For that reason, I am asking for your vote and continued support as a trustworthy member of the Commission.

If elected, I will continue to look ahead for ways to improve the district with independent thought and steady judgment.    Join me in looking forward as the only candidate whose agenda includes building consensus, proven experience, and improving our community.
